Cunningham Park

Cunningham Park is named after Mary A. Cunningham. Born in 1814, this philanthropic woman was known for helping those less fortunate than herself. Due to her selfless altruism, she was known to about 125 children as Aunt Mary. Always the benevolent soul, before her death, she donated her trust to the betterment of Milton's community. With this trust, Cunningham Park was established.

Cunningham park is not simply a beautiful green promenade. Inside, you can find a bowling alley, pool, toboggan slide, badminton courts, basketball courts, horseshoes, motion pictures, shuffleboard, and volleyball. In the past, the park was filled with thoroughbred Shropshire sheep, as well as ducks, hens, and occasionally pigs. It is also the home to over 30 species of birds. While at the park, grab Lisa White's Checklist to spot the wide variety of birds. There is a Community Meeting Hall that is available for local organizations, and every winter, the brook behind the pool overflows and is an area where visitors can go ice skating for free. Things to note about Cunningham Park is that during the summer months, the bowling alley is closed. That makes a perfect time to plan a picnic with family and friends on the serene park grounds. Also, due to COVID, the park will not be providing swimming lessons this year. For additional information on the precaution sanitation measures, check out their website.

Eagle Farms

A unique and charming spot that our Milton, MA, movers love in Eagle Farms. It began as a farm produce stand that gradually offered a variety of commodities and services. Now, the rustic farm has a farmstand, nursery, and greenhouse. Besides fresh produce, Eagle Farms sells kiln-dried firewood, sandwiches, Dom’s notorious meats, mulch, home and garden supply, hardscapes, flowers, and seasonal items like Christmas trees. Their services include tree services such as tree and shrub pruning, emergency tree care and removal, stump grinding, and land clearing. Eagle Farms also offers Spring and Fall clean-up leaf removal. Plus, they offer landscape consultations, design, and construction. Lastly, they have snow plowing for both residential and commercial properties. The farm is open year-round, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., but closed on Wednesdays. Also, note that during the holiday season, they close at 8 p.m.
