Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 During a Move

It’s important to note that moving companies are essential businesses during the countrywide lockdown. Our expert local Franklin Park movers are here and ready to assist you throughout your entire move while following CDC health and safety guidelines.

Since March, All My Sons Moving & Storage has been following CDC recommended protocols to stay sanitized and prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a company, we have implemented restrictions if employees feel ill or have traveled to high-risk areas. We ask all customers to be open and honest with us if they or their family members have experienced COVID-19 symptoms in order to take the necessary measures to ensure everyone’s safety.

As you’re moving during the global COVID-19 pandemic, please follow these tips:

1. Wash Your Hands

The number one rule of moving during the COVID-19 pandemic is to wash your hands often and efficiently. It’s not uncommon to touch items that contain germs throughout your entire move. Use a a generous amount of soap and run your hands under water for at least 20 seconds. When you don’t have access to soap and water, our Franklin Park long-distance movers suggest using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

2. Disinfect Everything

It’s essential to use a disinfectant to fight against germs and diseases. With cases of COVID-19 on the rise, you don’t know what could be on your doorknobs, counters, and all your belongings. Before and after you move during the COVID-19, disinfect every common area, furniture, other items your movers might come in contact with. For the health and safety of everyone involved in your move, we ask that you please clean and disinfect.

3. Practice Social Distancing Guidelines

Maintain ample space between you and other people when you are outside. By following social distancing guidelines when you move during COVID-19, you are able to relocate safely, without the risk of catching or infecting others. It’s been proven that by practicing social distancing, you are slowing the spread of the novel coronavirus. All My Sons Moving & Storage will practice social distancing and we hope you follow in our footsteps (6 feet apart, of course.)
