Plan a Labor Day Housewarming Party

With Labor Day right around the corner, now is the perfect time to celebrate having your local Maryland Heights movers finish moving you and your family in, by throwing a Labor Day housewarming party! After all, what better way to relax and have some fun, while getting to know your new neighbors at the same time?

Check out some of these tips in order to finalize plans for the Labor Day housewarming party that your new Maryland Heights neighborhood will be buzzing about until next year.

Windproof Tablecloth

No matter how beautiful your table spread is, it will not matter if a gust of breeze comes by and blows all of your hard work on the ground. In order to create a windproof table, use bungee cords to anchor an oilcloth tablecloth underneath the table. You will be thanking yourself later, when you are able to enjoy the last bit of summer breezes without having to chase after your tablecloth.

Multitask with a Centerpiece

Put a metal planter filled with ice and beverages, in the middle of your table. For a cooler that multitasks as a centerpiece, fill empty bottles with fresh-cut flowers and mix them among the drinks for a simply chic centerpiece; it will bring your table decorations to life without you having to put in any extra effort.

Add Seersucker

Never underestimate the ability of seersucker to immediately make anything feel more summery. Use seersucker napkins, tablecloths, or even outdoor patio cushions in red, white or blue, for the perfect Labor Day decorations that you can use year after year.

Burgers with a Surprise

Of course, you cannot throw a Labor Day Party without having burgers on the menu. But this year, in order to avoid boring your guests with the same old hamburger selection – add cheese-stuffed burgers to the menu! Make them before the day of the party, so that all you have to do is throw them on the grill. After all, you want as much time to enjoy the party as possible!

Plan Games

Keep everyone at the party entertained, by planning games for the whole neighborhood to play. If you have enough backyard space in your new Maryland Heights home, put up a volleyball net for a great way to get to know your new neighbors. If you do not have time to put up a net, have games such as football or tug of war instead. What better way to celebrate Labor Day with fun-filled games? Your neighbors will have so much fun, they will wish you had moved to Maryland Heights sooner!
