Radon causes lung cancer, so testing for its presence on your property is important, as it is a life-threatening danger you can’t see. You should also have your home inspected for mold and asbestos. If mold goes undetected and untreated, it can lead to costly repairs that may hinder you after purchasing and moving into your new home. Keep in mind that these are tests that should be done before you put in an offer and buy the home.

Local Denver moving companies also suggest that new homeowners have their smoke detectors tested before they move into their new home. Although smoke detectors are not a dire fix when it comes to deciding whether to purchase a home or not, it is a test that should be done prior to moving in, or within the very first few days in your new home.
