Rockvale At A Glance

Learn More About Historic Rockvale

As early as 1710 French explorers, some from Canada began coming to the Rockvale area. For years before the region had been hunting grounds used by several native tribes including the Cherokee and Shawnee. The area became a major trading post for the French and native tribes. Following a visit by King Louis of France the region was named Versailles after the French palace.

Today Rockvale is still a crossroads located south of Nashville and west of Murfreesboro. Rockvale is a quiet community with a very reasonable cost of living and attracts many looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city, while still being a short commute away.  Local attractions include the Snail Shell Cave and the Stones River battlefield.
