5 Essentials to Pack in Your Car When You Move

Moving day is going to be full of a ton of emotions. You will be excited, overwhelmed, and definitely exhausted. The Corpus Christi movers at All My Sons Moving & Storage have created this list of the 5 essentials to pack in your car when you move. These items will come in handy on moving day and you will be so glad you had them packed in your car and not on the back of the moving truck!

  1. Clothes

You aren’t going to need a whole wardrobe packed, but it’s important to have a few articles of clothing to get you through the first few nights at your new place. Moving day can be so exhausting and the last thing you’re going to want to do is dig through a ton of boxes just to find that one pair of jeans that you’re looking for. Set aside some clothes before you move, so that you’re prepared for the first couple of nights at home.

  2. Bed Linens

The same thing that goes for clothing, goes for bed linens. You’re going to be exhausted after moving day and the only thing on your mind at the end of the day is going to bed. The best tip the Corpus Christi movers will give you to bring your bedding. Save yourself the time and hassle of searching for a pair of sheets and a pillow and pack them separately for your car! You will be so relieved when all you have to do is make a bed on the first night in your new place.

  3. Toiletries

Pack your essential toiletries and medications in a separate bag and pack them in your car. You’ll be so relieved to have your toothbrush, medications and toiletries all ready to go for your first night in your new place. After a long day of moving it’ll be so nice to shower, get cleaned up and just relax at your new home.

  4. Food

If you have any perishable food items that you want to take from one house to the other, you should pack them in your car. You don’t want to ruin any food by having it in the back of a moving truck, and you don’t want any messes back there. Corpus Christi movers don’t allow perishable food items in the moving truck so a plus of packing food in your car is that you’ll be able to get through the first couple of nights without going to the grocery store!

  5. Cleaning Supplies

We also suggest packing cleaning supplies in your car. Having cleaning supplies packed in your car will be a life saver. When you get to your new house, you can clean the essentials that you need cleaned for the first few nights. You can clean the bathrooms and the kitchen and you will be set before you can get down and give your new place a full cleaning.
