What to Do in Boise in November

Winter Garden aGlow 2019

On Thursday, November 28, 2019, visitors and tourists will get to see the spectacular 400,000 dazzling lights. This is a fun family event to do in Boise in November that will get the whole family ready for the holiday season. Guests will get to walk around under the light display marveling at this year’s creations. You can also take it to the next degree by sipping hot cocoa as if it were winter already. Just keep in mind though when attending this event it will be held outside; while hot cocoa will warm the hands, proper clothing attire should be worn for the weather conditions. Advanced tickets for adults start at $10, and youth tickets start at $8. If you do not wish to get advance tickets, then tickets at the door starting at $12 for adult members, $15 for non members and kids aged 4 and up, kids aged 3 and under are free1

Downtown Boise Holiday Tree Lighting

Curios on what to do in Boise in November? Why not come out for the traditional Downtown Boise tree lighting! The Mayor of Boise, Bieter, will light up a Christmas tree in the Grove Plaza in Downtown Boise while families sing carols and join in the candlelight ceremony. This event in November is perfect for new residents or family and friends who have come out of town to visit you in Boise. The tree lighting ceremony will start at 5 p.m., but make sure to get there early, as this event tends to get very busy.2

Boise Holiday Parade

On November 23, 2019, starting at 10 a.m., come to see the annual Boise holiday parade! This is an event that is perfect for all families, regardless of religion or views. This will be held shortly before Thanksgiving, and is the perfect excuse to get the kids out of the house and to come see some cool floats! This year’s theme for the Boise holiday parade is “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” This parade starts at 10th and Jefferson and makes its way down to 4th and returning on Bannock to 12th.3
