Ocean Ridge is a small coastal town along the Atlantic Ocean in Palm Beach County. In 2000, the population was just over 1,600 residents, and it grew to 1,702 in 2004. Ocean Ridge is located directly east (1.3 miles) of Boynton Beach on the beachfront state road of A1A. Ocean Ridge has the 19th highest Canadian population of US towns as of the year 2000.

The town encompasses about 2 square miles, over half of which is water. Initially part of Boynton Beach, Ocean Ridge separated from the city in 1931 following state legislature to section off the town. The name was officially changed in 1939.

Ocean Ridge is located on North Ocean Boulevard and remains a place for residents and tourists to enjoy nature via the Ocean Ridge Hammock Park and the Ocean Ridge Natural Area. In addition to the residents living full-time in Ocean Ridge, there are about another 1,000 residents who spend their summers in Ocean Ridge. Characterized as a dull and quiet place among the bustle of South Florida, Ocean Ridge is a charming small town with beautiful beaches and warm neighbors.
