Try Some of the Best Eats in Corpus Christi

Even though Corpus Christi has the charm of a small town, it’s actually a pretty big place. So instead of going to the same old restaurant for your next meal out on the town, get the family together and explore one of our local favorites. Your kids will get excited about the change of pace, and you will too, since you won’t have to cook!

All My Sons’ Favorite Places in Town

While most of us think of seafood when we think of good eats in Corpus Christi, Luciano’s Italian Restaurant is one of the city’s best places to grab dinner. Located on South Alameda Street, the family-owned restaurant has roots dating back to the ‘40s.  Since then, Luciano’s has developed a reputation for genuine Italian meals and a friendly and charming atmosphere. Its kitchen serves up favorites like fettuccini Alfredo, stuffed shells, baked ziti, shrimp lancianese and macaroni and cheese for the kids.

If you and the family are in the mood for some eclectic grub, head on down to Water Street Oyster Bar. Their raw bar will keep the oysters coming, and they have a pretty extensive sushi and sashimi menu too. Your kids will probably be more interested in the burgers, pasta and desserts, like Xango served with ice cream and chocolate (yum!).

If you’re from Corpus Christi, then you probably already love Snoopy’s Pier. But in case you’re new in town or have missed the news, Snoopy’s is downright delicious! They’ve been frying up fresh seafood since the ’80s, and locals have been coming back for more ever since. With options like the fried shrimp plate, grilled mahi mahi, the oyster sandwich and fish tacos, there is something for even your pickiest eater at Snoopy’s. They also have a kids’ menu if you have small children who do not yet know the wonders of fish tacos.

Nothing puts a smile on a child’s face like pizza and chicken wings. So the next time your kids deserve something delicious, load them in the car, and head to B&J’s Pizza. With locations on South Padre Island Drive and South Staples Street, this flavorful pizza is too close (and too good) to pass up. B&J’s has a full menu, so while your kids enjoy the pizza, you can order up salads, wings, burgers and sandwiches (we recommend the chicken parmesan).
