4 Best Places to Live in Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi has many wonderful neighborhoods for you and your family to call home. Whether you are looking for a bustling downtown, a relaxing waterfront or a suburban paradise, Corpus Christi has something for everyone. With sunny weather most of the year, high graduation rates and a stable housing market located on the Gulf of Mexico, you and your family will thrive in Corpus Christi. Our Corpus Christi movers at All My Sons Moving & Storage ranked the top four neighborhoods as Mustang-Padre Island, Calallen, Bay Area, and South Side. Our team has all the information you need to know about the best places to live in Corpus Christi.

1. Mustang-Padre Island

Mustang-Padre Island is rated the most livable neighborhood in Corpus Christi. As the number one beach destination on the Gulf, the island is a popular spot for tourists looking for that quiet vacation spot. Residents love the quiet atmosphere and the proximity to water.

2. Calallen

Calallen is another hot spot in Corpus Christi. Not as quiet as Mustang-Padre Island, Calallen has more to do, with plenty of restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. With a lower cost of living, Calallen is the perfect Corpus Christi neighborhood for young families to call home. The neighborhood of Calallen is clean, beautiful, and is well-known for Calellen High School’s Advanced Placement program, which ranks in the top five percent in the state of Texas. The school also has major success in its sports teams and Pride of Calallen Wildcat Band.

3. Bay Area

The Bay Area of Corpus Christi is another pristine location if you are looking to move where there is an endless number of local amenities. Bay Area has over 20 restaurants in a one mile stretch, as well as the same number of local shopping venues. This Corpus Christi neighborhood features beachside getaways, endless marinas, NASA’s Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, many tourist attractions, and historical sites. Major subdivisions in the Bay Area are the Pasadena-Baytown area, Deer Park, La Porte, Clear Lake, Texas City, and Anahuac.

4. South Side

South Side Corpus Christi is the area from Holly to just past Yorktown, and from Weber to just past Roddfield. South Side draws people who are looking to move to newer parts of Corpus Christi. South Side features brand new homes with manicured lawns and upgraded features, which may be attractive for most of the families who are looking to move to Corpus Christi. However, our Corpus Christi movers want to make sure you and your family keep in mind that although South Side offers these great modern options, South Side does not offer as large property size and the unique architecture like some of the older neighborhoods in Corpus Christi.
