DIY Paw Print Ornament

If you want to commemorate your furry loved one on your tree this year, our local Boynton Beach movers have the perfect way for you to do so! Grab your pup, some salt, and some flour to make a dog paw ornament for your tree. We have listed all the items you’re going to need and step-by-step instructions to create the perfect, no mess, print.

Ingredients you will need:

To get started with making your dog paw ornament, you will need the following ingredients

• One cup salt

• One cup all-purpose flour

• Half cup water

• Parchment paper or foil

• Drinking straw or pen to make a hole

• Chalkboard paint

• Ribbon

• Glue

Step 1: Mix flour, salt, and water.

Take your cups of salt and flour and mix it together with the half cup of water in a bowl until it becomes firm and turns into dough. Then, knead the dough for 30 seconds, spread it out to make a sheet, and use a cup to cut out circles.

Step 2: Make a paw print and a hole.

Using one of the circles of dough, take your dog's paw and press it gently in the center until it makes a deep enough print. Then, using the straw or pen, make a hole at the top of the circle so that you can hang your dog paw ornament.

Step 3: Bake your dog paw ornament.

At 200 degrees, bake your ornament for 2-3 hours or until it’s dry. When time is up, let your ornament cool completely before decorating.

Step 4: Decorate!

Now it's time to make your dog paw ornament your own! Decorate with chalkboard paint, glitter, and a colorful ribbon. You can even write the year and your pup’s name if you have more than one ornament.
