New Albany Living: One of the Top Ohio Suburbs

Founded in 1937, New Albany is now a thriving city, dedicated to the idea that how we live defines our quality of life. If you are moving to Ohio, New Albany moving companies hope that you check out our pristine location.

In 2010, New Albany had just over 7,000 residents, all within its 11.7 square mile radius.  Although the area is known for being upscale (the 12th wealthiest city in the state), it is great for middle income families as well, with plenty of large, beautiful homes listed for under $200,000.

With a median resident age of 37.9 years, New Albany is also a wonderful place to raise a family, since 46% of residents have children; all of which attend one of New Albany’s excellent rated schools, as rated by the Ohio Department of Education. For college students, New Albany is perfect if you are looking to live in an amazing neighborhood that you can build your future in, while only twenty minutes from Ohio State University.

The area also has one of the lowest crime rates in the state, and is a vibrant, community-friendly area that strives to excel in education, wellness, culture, and enriching leisure. New Albany offers a culture that is strong to community and family ties, enhanced by its rolling landscape of golf courses where everyone becomes friends.  The city focuses on providing and maintaining a system of daily living that improves the quality of life, what they call their “master plan”.

According to the city’s website, their Master-Planned Community can be described as,

“residential focus revolves around the classic American architectural style, Georgian Palladianism, while preserving open spaces, protecting natural features and promoting connectivity with sidewalks, leisure trails and roadways. Its commercial strategy leverages key assets, from natural features to seven miles of highway accessibility. And retail planning guidelines protect your investment from the impact of unrestricted growth while promoting clusters of commerce that encourage collaboration, discovery and innovation. The result is a remarkable level of architectural integrity, community interaction and economic vitality.”
