The town is quite small and it only has about 2.4 square miles of land within the township limits.
Despite its small size, Manalapan has been an on-site movie location (Body Heat in 1981), and was a list of notable residents past and present, such as Thomas and Gloria Guinness, Don King, Yanni, and more. Manalapan is an area of Palm Beach County that is determined to stay away from corporate development and large scale enterprises. Manalapan is a community that has a rich history and looks to preserve that well into the future.
