Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium – This popular aquarium is unique in that it is considered a “working aquarium”. While at Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium you will have a chance to observe both sea wildlife and the scientists that work to protect it. Among more than 100 species of sea life that reside at Mote Aquarium, there are manatees, sharks and sea turtles that have been rescued from dangerous incidents and are now being cared for in the aquarium. While touring the aquarium, visitors are invited to take a look inside the facility’s animal hospital and also to catch scientists in action inside the aquarium’s laboratory.

Ca d’Zan Mansion – modeled after the Venetian-Gothic style homes found in Italy, this beautiful mansion has so much history to tell. Built by the Ringling Family, who made their fortune through famous American circus acts and art, the home was constructed between 1924 and 1926. The waterfront mansion is 36,000 square-feet and 5 stories tall. Now open to the public, Sarasota movers suggest visiting the home during the winter holidays when the home is beautifully decorated with Christmas lights, trees, wreaths and other decorations.
