The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has created a list of products that are effective in killing the coronavirus, including Clorox, Lysol, Microban, hydrogen peroxide, and Maquat, among others.

When it comes to disinfecting your car, you will want to use sanitizing sprays and wipes such as Lysol or Clorox. Be sure to clean surfaces that are frequently touched such as the door handles, steering wheel, gear shift, keyless ignition, seats, dashboard buttons and knobs, the center console, sun visors, and even the keys.

It is not recommended to use Lysol or Clorox wipes on leather upholstery, but there are special leather disinfecting wipes and sprays designed for leather car seats. The most important part about disinfecting your car is the dry time. You will want to allow upwards of 10 minutes for the disinfectant to dry before touching any surfaces.
