Moving to Akron, OH

One of the Best Moving Companies in Akron, Ohio

Akron was once one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States due to four major tire companies headquartered there. It is also home to the Ohio Ballet, the Akron Symphony Orchestra, and the Akron Aeros, the Cleveland Indians AA minor league baseball team. Another fun fact: The Black Keys, a Grammy Award-winning blues-rock duo, is from Akron, Ohio!

8. Gorge Metro Park

One of our Cleveland residential movers’ favorite legendary areas, Gorge Metro Park, is notorious for the prominent rock shelter known as Mary Campbell Cave. According to local legend, a ten-year-old named Mary Campbell was captured by the Lenape tribe and believed to have been brought to this cave. Because the historical record is unclear, the park calls this “Old Maid’s Kitchen,” referring to it being empty as kitchens of single women were once thought to be.

9.   Akron Children’s Museum

Another family pick from our movers in Akron, Ohio, is the Akron Children’s Museum. For the reasonable price of $10 per child, the museum offers 18 interactive learning experiences. For example, in the Farm to Table exhibit, children can pick apples, gather eggs, and then sell their products at the pretend Farmer’s Market.

10.  Lock 4
