Where You Can Go See Lights in South San Antonio

Our South San Antonio local movers know some of the places where you can go see the best Christmas lights in San Antonio.

1. River Walk. Each year around Christmas, River Walk puts up and turns on thousands of Christmas lights on this popular tourist attraction. The lights are able to be seen as early as two days after Thanksgiving. The event goes through January, and the lights are always on from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

2. Light the Way at University of the Incarnate Word. This event starts in November, and is a lighting ceremony to kick off the beginning of the holiday season. The lights at the University of the Incarnate Word also stay on through January. At the ceremony there are food trucks to enjoy, as well as fireworks, live entertainment, concerts, and a Holiday Shop.

3. Christmas Light Fest. This event is held at the Enchanted Springs Ranch. Walk through miles of Christmas light tunnels or visit Santa’s Village where you can meet Mr. and Mrs. Clause. Enjoy goodies while you are there, too.

4. Ford Fiesta De Las Luminarias. This event is less crowded than the other mentioned events. Ford Fiesta takes place on the River Walk and features 2,000 luminarias – traditional Mexican Christmas lanterns – being lit at sundown. Enjoy these lights on the river while enjoying a bite to eat with family or a loved one.

5.  SeaWorld San Antonio. Check out some of your favorite aquatic animals while also enjoying the 9 million lights at the SeaWorld park. This event is one of the largest Christmas light events in Texas! You can also enjoy a wonderful Winter Wonderland where you can meet Santa and Rudolph.

6. ZooLights at San Antonio Zoo. Amp up your usual visit to the zoo with an added Holiday feel. The San Antonio Zoo goes into full holiday mode with Christmas lights strung throughout the zoo, in addition to having hot chocolate stands, roasted marshmallows, ice skating rinks, and a Lakeside Light Show.
