Moving to Denver this winter? All My Sons Moving & Storage is excited to inform you that you will have more than enough activities to keep you busy during the next couple of months! From ice skating to winter festivals, you won’t want to miss any of it now that you’re living in The Mile High City.

Ice skating – Not ready to go skiing quite yet after moving to Denver? Opt for ice skates instead, and head to one of the many ice skating rinks open during winter. Our Denver movers suggest Evergreen Lake if you’re looking for a mountainous view just outside the city or Southwest Rink at Skyline Park downtown if you want a more urban setting.

Icelantic’s Winter on The Rocks – This annual event attracts the masses to Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre and for good reason. For over 5 years, Icelantic’s Winter on The Rocks has been bringing headlining bands out for a night filled with music and fun. The concert is usually held at the end of January and tickets can be bought online.

Winter Brew Fest – Celebrated each year at mile High Station, this event is perfect for those who enjoy a cold craft beverage. Winter Brew Fest features unique beers from all over the United States and, of course, from local breweries around town. Plan on grabbing a cold one after moving to Denver and get tickets to Winter Brew Fest this year!

Skiing and Snowboarding – Ready to hit the slopes after making a move to Denver? Plan a day trip to Winter Park, the closest ski resort to Denver. It encompasses 2,886 acres over three mountains, 134 ski trails and 20 different chair lifts.

Tubing – Bring out the inner kid in you and head to one of the popular hills in Denver for some sledding or tubing. Not sure where to find the best hill to give you maximum speed? Ask a local. Denver residents are always willing to point newbies in the right direction.

Sleigh Rides – Perfect for a romantic evening with your spouse or a unique experience with the whole family, a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh is definitely something you want to do after moving to Denver. There are several companies that offer sleigh rides just outside the city and many include a meal, live music and a warm fire.

Denver Botanic Gardens – Stop and smell the roses even during winter in Denver. Deemed one of the top five botanic gardens in the nation, Denver Botanic Gardens offers events throughout the entire year. The site’s York Street holds a variety of unique flowers, which can be visited during winter from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Tickets cost $12.50 per adult, $9.50 for seniors 65 and older, $9 for children 3 to 15 years old and free for children 2 and under.
