A couple from House Springs, Missouri had their personal belongings held hostage by a moving company that they found online. They thought they were dealing with a specific company, when another one contacted them. They later found out they were dealing with a broker. On moving day, the movers that showed up were yet a different company. Two weeks later, when their belongings haven’t arrived to the Bay area, where they relocated to, the couple called the moving company that showed up at their place a while back. They learned that the driver stole some money and abandoned the truck in Ohio. The situation got worst when their belongings arrived 10 days later to Forest City and the driver had no one to unload the goods with him. The driver claimed the moving truck wouldn’t fit in the couple’s complex and that the items would go into storage. Eventually, matters turned into the hands of the police and the couple got their things back.
