Did you know that famous Hollywood cowboy Roy Rogers was born in Oklahoma? He is a native of the Cherokee Nation, and was born as an Indian. He went on to star in over 70 movies, as well as on Broadway, and became a nationally recognized figure.

Oklahoma is home to the National Cowboy Hall of Fame, and also holds the record for the largest pecan pie, pecan cookie, pecan brownies, and biggest ice cream & cookie party.  

The first shopping cart and the first parking meter were invented in Oklahoma. The first radio station west of the Mississippi River Also, the first electric guitar was invented by an Oklahoma native.

Many think that Oklahoma consists only of plains and flat ground. Actually, there are four mountain ranges in Oklahoma—the Ouachitas, Arbuckles, Wichitas, and Kiamichis.
