| The Tulsa Zoo is a fantastic way to spend a beautiful Oklahoma afternoon. Located at Mohawk Park and situated on 84 acres, the zoo has thousands of species for you and your family to learn more about. Currently, the Tulsa Zoo has about 2,800 species on display, and special exhibits for Africa, Native American living, South American/Tropical Rainforests, Asia, Oceans & Islands, a children's zoo, and education areas. |
Children and adults can view elusive creatures such as cheetahs, zebras, and jaguars. Reptile fans can catch a glimpse of an anaconda. Kids can touch prairie dogs, llamas, donkeys, turkeys, emus, river otters, and much more. In the summer, there are also camp programs set up for daytime hours where kids can come spend their days at the Zoo and learn in depth about several animals.
The Zoo is also a great event space. Plan group outings or structured events among the beauty and creations of nature. Meetings, parties, and birthdays are all accepted on the Zoo's premises. Be sure to contact the Zoo office to learn more about rules and regulations, to make sure everyone has fun and stays safe. Some classes are also available in the Fall and Spring.
The Tulsa Zoo is one of those places that is not only entertaining for children of all ages, but it also makes adults feel like children again. The Tulsa movers love visits to the zoo with friends and family. If you're interested in a trip to the Zoo, you should check out hours of operation and ticket information at http://www.tulsazoo.org.
