Ways to Have Fun and Save
Thanksgiving 2010 Savings IV
There's definitely going to be a lot of eating going on this coming Thursday, but what do you do once you've downed enough food and drinks?  Holidays are a time for family and friends to gather around and enjoy one another.  Today we will look at some inexpensive ways to have fun this Thanksgiving day.
  • Most men have a set schedule for Turkey day.  First comes the food and second the remote control and football, and more football and more football.  You get the picture.  Make it a family affair.  Wear your favorite team's jersey, pick a prize for those whose team wins...maybe the losers clean the kitchen.  LOL!
  • If you can't all agree to watch football, play football outside.  Again, whoever wins get's a prize.  Make it into a family tradition.  You can even create a trophy for every family gathering, reunion etc.
  • Make it game day.  Pull out scrabble, pictionary, jenga, your Wii and have a family tournament.  Games can be stationed all over the home.  A pool table tournament could happen in one room, with the Wii tournament in another.  Have someone keep score and tally up votes at the end of the night.
  • The milder crowds could relax and enjoy a couple of good movies.
  • For those looking to get out of the home, pick a good dollar movie.
  • And of course for the ladies who can't get into any of the above, you can plan your Black Friday shopping day.
Notice all of the above can be done with little or no money.  Save and have fun this Thanksgiving Day!
