You may need to spend a few hundred dollars to have a comprehensive test performed, but if any of the test results turn up positive, you may want to reconsider purchasing the house or use the presence of pests as a bargaining chip to reduce the price of the house.

Although not a living pest, there are some homes that have been used as meth labs. Living in a house that was once used to cook meth can cause serious and potentially deadly side effects. You should never buy a house that was used as a meth lab; the risk of developing illness is too great.

Missing Your Move-In Deadline
