Reading, Writing and Arithmatic used to be the three R's... Until we learned how to spell. Now, the three R's are Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! The three R's are always applicable to moving. Let me show you how.
Reduce- The less items you take, the more you save! Let's face it. We're in a recession (bad R) but holding on to items that you're never going to have use for just takes up room in the truck. Compile a box or a few boxes that of items that are no longer needed. You can donate these items to the Salvation Army.... Tax Writeoff as well.
Reuse- Okay, so you can't find anything to fo with your old towels or clothing items. Use them as packing material. This will not only keep you from using newspapers, but they will serve as rags in the future. Please keep the first R in mind. If they are not going to reuse, then please see reduce!
Recycle- Boxes are good for more than one use. Realise that the box you are using is totally recyclable and reusable. Find someone else who's moving and donate them. If, you need to make a little cash, charge them only 40%! This way you can both can see green.
