Oklahoma City Has Lowest Rent In the Nation
According to an article feature on MSN.com, Oklahoma City is number 1 out of a Top 10 list of metro areas with low rents. The average rent in Oklahoma City goes for about $543 and the median household income is of $52,917. Oklahoma City is home to Devon Eneregy and Chesapeake Energy and has a relatively strong economy thanks to the oil and natural gas industries. The asking rent jumped about 3.8% compared to last year’s rental prices with a vacancy rate of about 8.6%.
If you’re thinking of moving into the Oklahoma City area to take advantage of the job market and low rent, remember that All My Sons of Oklahoma City offers moving services in the area. We’re a licensed and insured moving company with a lot of professional moving experience. Our
local Oklahoma City movers
have delivered moving services to countless satisfied customers in all types of housing situations, from apartments to condos and homes. We also operate in the Choctaw area, Edmond region, Mustang and Yukon.
Indianapolis is one of the other cities in this list of top metro areas with low rents. The average rent is a little higher than the one in Oklahoma City, at $675. However the unemployment rate here is higher, at 8.2%. The state capital famous for the Indianapolis 500 is also home to major universities which helps the rental market. The asking rent jumped to 1.8% compared to last year.
If Indianapolis seems to be more the place for you, we also have another All My Sons moving office there that provides moving services in and around the city. The Indianapolis movers are just as experienced as us, because they’re also backed by four generations of moving expertise. They’ve successfully done commercial moves as well, so if you need to move your business’ location,
All My Sons of Indianapolis
are the ones to call.
Other cities in this top 10 low rents list include Kansas City, the largest city in Missouri, with $701 in rent. Fort Worth-Arlington in Texas, nicknamed Cowtown, has an asking price of $718 in rent. Denver-Aurora is another one, with $887 in rent.
As you can see, there are still some beautiful cities across the nation with low and affordable rents. If you’re not having too much luck where you’re living now, it might be time to move and try your luck somewhere else. Call All My Sons Moving to find out if we have an office in the area you’re most interested in. See you on moving day.
