Tips for Moving with an Elevator
Moving And Elevators
If you’re moving to a high-rise, loft, or any new home which requires an elevator ride to get to your front door, don’t forget that your furniture will have to ride the elevator too!  If you plan to hire movers, you are smart, but your move will cost more than an arm and a leg if your moving crew is forced to climb stairs in order to access your new home.  Why would they have to climb stairs?  If you neglect to reserve a time slot for your new building’s elevator then that is why!  A very simple but very useful tip: be 100% sure to schedule your elevator time AND your moving crew together.  Furthermore; it is also important to know the dimensions of your new building's elevator.  Do you have access to a freight elevator?  Also, be sure to find out how far a walk it is between your front door and the elevator door.  The more information you provide your professional movers, the more accurate of a quote your movers can provide you!  Be sure that everything is in order for your move date so that your experience is as smooth and hassle-free as possible!
