Washington D.C. Top Spot To Visit in March
The Maryland movers are happy to say that, according to an article posted on the online search engine giant Bing, Washington D.C. is the top spot to visit during the month of March. By this time the weather is warming up and everybody is out enjoying the outdoors. The capital’s famous cherry blossoms take over the Tidal Basin every spring, decorating the entire city with pink hues. According to Wikipedia.com, the Tidal Basin is a partially man-made inlet adjacent to the Potomac River. It’s surrounded by the Jefferson Memorial and the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial. It serves both as a visual centerpiece and as a means for flushing the Washington Channel. It releases 250 million gallons of water captured at high tide twice a day.
March is also a great month to visit Washington D.C. because of
The National Cherry Blossom Festival
that’s celebrated from March 27th to April 11. The two-week annual festival celebrates springtime as well as the 1912 gift of the cherry blossom trees and the enduring friendship between the people of the United States and Japan. There are many events surrounding the festival, from the actual bloom watch to family day and opening ceremony with the National Building Museum to Cherry Blast: A night of contemporary art and music, a fireworks show, a lantern lighting ceremony, a gala dinner cruise, a Japanese street festival, daily cultural performances and so much more.
Other cities to join Washington D.C. on the list of top spot to visit in March include, Cancun, Mexico, Ireland, Orlando, Florida, Barbados, Maui, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Palm Spring California, Winter Park Colorado and a few more.
If you think you’d like to enjoy Washington D.C. much more than just the month of March, call the All My Sons of Maryland to help you with your residential move to Washington D.C.
