Prevent mold in the Bathroom

Mold can be incredibly difficult to remove once it has formed in your bathroom. Here at the Knoxville movers, we thought we’d share a few tips on how to eliminate moisture in the bathroom and prevent mold from flourishing.

One of the most efficient ways to cut moisture in the shower is to use a squeegee to remove excess moisture off of the tiles once you are done showering. The water that sits on the tile post-shower is accountable for about 75% of mold growth than occurs.

The switch next to your light switch is there for a reason—running the bathroom fan while you are in the shower or bathtub can help to draw moisture from the bathroom air. Keep it ventilating for 30 minutes once you are done to ensure that the steam and moisture are removed from the air.

Tile bathrooms require a little extra TLC to prevent mold, and one of the easiest ways to prevent mold is to seal the grout lines once a year with standard grout sealer to waterproof them.
