The average high temperatures are at least 75 degrees Fahrenheit at any time of the year. Lows, if you can call them that, reach only to around 54 degrees Fahrenheit.
For the golfing enthusiast, Fort Myers and its surrounding areas are home to over 50 of Southwest Florida’s celebrated collection of 130 public and private golf courses. Fort Myer’s beautiful landscapes offer scenic views and challenging obstacles for golfers of all skill levels.
The Fort Myers Senior High School recently earned some serious bragging rights. It was ranked as one of the best schools in the nation according to Newsweek magazine.
Fort Myers has a few bragging rights of its own. Inventor Thomas Edison and Ford Motor Company founder Henry Ford chose Fort Myers as the location for their winter retreats, even taking up residence next door to each other. Both estates are now favored attractions of Fort Myers.
