September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and your
Dallas professional movers are happy and proud to take awareness by supporting the Heroes for Children program. Sadly more than one thousand Texas children will be diagnosed with cancer this year. Aside from medical costs involved with treating a child with cancer, parents also face lost wages due to time taken off from work to care for their son or daughter.
Your Dallas local movers know that funds can get tight for families who are moving to a new home. We care about families saving money during a move, but we know that moving costs are nothing compared to medical bills and everything else that is associated with caring for a sick child. Our hearts truly go out to families who are battling cancer in any way shape or form, which is why your Dallas movers here jumped on the opportunity to sponsor the
Heroes for Children program.
Thanks to Heroes for Children, families of children who are diagnosed quickly receive crucial financial assistance so that focus on the child needn’t be divided. Heroes for Children has even prevented families’ electricity from being shut off by acting quickly to help affected families with bills. There are several programs which Heroes for Children provides aside from financial support. New laptop computers are even given to hospitalized teenagers living with cancer. There are even fund-raising events such as the upcoming
7th Annual Heroes for Children 5K Run/Walk which will take place this Saturday, September 24th at The Shops at Legacy in Plano. In addition to the 1K and 5K fun runs, there will be bounce houses, face painting, and a concert to keep attendees of all ages entertained!
Your Dallas professional movers here hope that many of you make it out to this weekend’s events, or find a way to contribute to the Heroes for Children efforts this month.
