Dine in Style in Baton Rouge

Depending on the type of food you’re in the mood for, and the type of atmosphere you’re looking to be in, there are plenty of options to fill your appetite in Baton Rouge. Considering the fact that Louisiana State University is a prominent part of Baton Rouge, there is a wide variety to satisfy the appetites of students that come to Louisiana from all over the world. Not to mention the heavy French and Cajun influences on the region, surely you’re sure to find your favorite food as well as discover some new favorites.

For Asian and Asian-fusion, check out Tsunami Sushi or Chinese Inn. Tsunami Sushi is located downtown at The Shaw Center, 100 Lafayette St Fl 6th, and Chinese Inn is also downtown, located at 1710 Nicholson Dr. Surely one of these two Baton Rouge eateries has just what you are looking for at lunch or dinner.

Of course, what metropolitan exists without a selection of steakhouses? Baton Rouge is certainly no exception. Local favorites like Stroube’s Chophouse (107 3rd Street) and Capital City Grill (100 Lafayette St) serve up your favorite carnivorous treats and are both located downtown. Menus are available online also.

Craving seafood? Baton Rouge is your place! With such strong roots in bayou food like shrimp and crawfish, seafood places are scattered throughout Baton Rouge and serve the finest surf seasoned to Cajun perfection. Check out Harrington’s (329 Florida St.) for a quick, inexpensive lunch or early dinner, or Shucks on the Levee (103 France St.) for traditional seafood and southern plates. There are plenty of other choices of course, but these are some favorites of the Baton Rouge movers.

Whatever your mood, wander around downtown Baton Rouge and you won’t be disappointed in the culinary shops you stumble across.
