Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy, age 90, has written a new book about the meaning of life in relation to money. The new book, “Wealth: Is It Worth It?” is a chronicle of Cathy’s life, from his poverty stricken youth in the Great Depression to his success with the Atlanta-based restaurant chain.
Cathy made his mark on the working world delivering Atlanta newspapers when he was eight years old, and opened the first Chick-fil-A nearly 50 years later in an Atlanta shopping mall. Today, the Georgia chain is now 1,550 restaurant locations strong and ranks as the second-largest quick service fast-food chicken restaurant in the country. As for us? The Atlanta movers are proud to say we have eleven locations here in the metropolitan Atlanta area.
Sports lovers will probably associate Chick-fil-A with its athletic sponsorships, such as the Chick-fil-A Bowl (originally the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl), which is the showdown of the ACC/SEC Championship contenders. Georgia foster care homes and scholarships are also humanitarian causes that the Chick-fil-A brand supports.
