Spring Savings Now II
More Spring Savings for Your Lawn and Garden
The groundhog reportedly saw his shadow today. So it appears we are in for at least six more weeks of winter.  However, we still need to get ready for Spring.  I mentioned a few ways to save on yard and gardening tools yesterday.  But today I'd like to share a few more:

  • Start stocking up on items that will be in high demand in the coming months.  This is technically the off season for Spring.  But in a few weeks shoppers will be looking like you, so hurry!
  • Shop around of course and see who has the best deals.
  • Notice the clearance sections in the Home and Garden sections of your Home Improvement Stores as well as your major grocers.
  • Don't discredit your local dollar or discount stores.  There are some savings to be had there as well.
  • Be smart.  Don't over do it, but don't under do it either. Conduct a survey of last year's items and develop your shopping list.  Make sure you also include any additional items needed to tidy up your landscaping.
  • Anything left over from last year that you didn't use? Don't purchase it again this year.  If it's a lawn or garden tool, set it aside for resale at your next garage sale.
