| More Spring Savings for Your Lawn and Garden |
The groundhog reportedly saw his shadow today. So it appears we are in
for at least six more weeks of winter. However, we still need to get
ready for Spring. I mentioned a few ways to save on yard and gardening
tools yesterday. But today I'd like to share a few more:
- Start stocking up on items that will be in high demand in
the coming months. This is technically the off season for Spring. But
in a few weeks shoppers will be looking like you, so hurry!
- Shop around of course and see who has the best deals.
- Notice the clearance sections in the Home and Garden sections of your Home Improvement Stores as well as your major grocers.
- Don't discredit your local dollar or discount stores. There are some savings to be had there as well.
- Be
smart. Don't over do it, but don't under do it either. Conduct a
survey of last year's items and develop your shopping list. Make sure
you also include any additional items needed to tidy up your
landscaping.
- Anything left over from last year that you
didn't use? Don't purchase it again this year. If it's a lawn or
garden tool, set it aside for resale at your next garage sale.
