Austin Parks & Recreation
Austin boasts a variety of beautiful parks, trails and playgrounds in its diverse communities. The department has programs to appeal to every segment: from the young to the elderly, from traditional to innovative. The 12 off-leash dog parks around the city are a popular feature.
Children's Programs
Children aged 3-12 can participate in a wide variety of supervised activities at 20 Recreation Centers, plus the Dougherty Art Center and the Austin Nature and Science Center. Registration for children's programs like summer camp are also available on this site.
City of Austin Public Library
The current library system has great facilities, so check out their website for more information. In addition, a new Central Library in downtown Austin is being planned for 2013 and will feature:
- Increased research and circulating collections augmenting branch collections
- Additional seating, meeting and study room space, a café, and an auditorium
- Improved information technology including a high-tech center

The Austin Music Marketing Office promotes the city as the Live Music Capital of the World®. The diversity of Austin music, whether it's blues, rock, Latino, jazz, classical or country, helps bring millions of visitors to Austin each year. The city has 200 live music venues available through the Austin Music Office for anyone who wants to include live music with their convention, tradeshow or special event.
